Mobile web browsing across the Android OS increased 400 percent among U.S. consumers between the first quarter and second quarter of 2010, according to new data published by mobile analytics and payment firm Bango.
By comparison, web browsing on Apple devices grew 13 percent during the same period, representing a market share decline of 16 percentage points to 26 percent. RIM's BlackBerry platform remains the percentage market share leader in the U.S., accounting for 37 percent of mobile website visits in the second quarter, up 20 percent over Q1.
